A very expensive lesson to buying a home. At the height of the home bidding wars, I purchased a home from KOTU, Inc. which is co-owned by Shirley Watson and Thomas Kutay. Shirley is a registered Real Estate agent in Georgia. Mr. Kutay purchases and remodels the homes while Shirley closes the deals. My mistake was rushing from excitement and not having a home inspection conducted. The VA appraiser does not inspect the roof. The sellers stated that the roof was 2 years old and I took their word. After moving into the home, we had roof leak issues, the washer is not connected to a pipe so the water is draining behind the wall and causing a possible mold issue, the ceilings are cracking while the ceiling sheet rock is leaking from the roof.
