Newport Legal Group

We was told in 3 years we would be credit free. After almost 3 years they quit our contract. We made every payment on time. And we still owe most of our creditors. They ripped us off. We had to pay all ours creditors ourselves after paying Newport. They didn't even try to pay ours creditors. They keep the money. Never trust Newport legal group they are a scamer.

They promised to pay my credit card debt off in three years. They were taking $497 out of my checking account for those 3 years and paid off one credit card out of three. When I called to find out why they hadn't paid off the other two I was told that they weren't allowed to do any negotiations because they were being sued and I'd have to take care of the last two credit cards on my own. I paid for three years for their service and got absolutely nothing. This is a scam and the employees are very rude. Do yourself a favor and do not give these people your money.

This group apparently was investigated for fraud and they did not settle my last 2 credit cards. I did get my funds returned and settled myself which was very nerve racking. I won't ever use a debt resolution company again. It was very time consuming but after I settled the last 2 cards my credit score went up 60 points though I thought it would be more.I believe it would have had the taken care of the last 2 credit cards more timely.

FIRST: They are currently being sued and the negotiation department has been shut down. Please do not sign up with this company. SECOND: They have lawyers that will lie to you. When you sign a contract with this company you are promised an annual review with a lawyer to discuss your account and progress. Not only did these meetings not happen for me, but I had a lawyer reach out through email claiming we had talked that morning and what we talked about. When I sent Newport my call logs that day to support my claim that we did not have a a conversation, they simply stated " The documents will be added to your profile." They have done things to make it right and have not responded to my BBB complaint. They simply don't care about there customers.

I paid $300. a month for 3 years, I have now been sent to another collection agency. How ever I have settled. They did not pay my last 3 cc. I left several messages, emails. Of course I did not get a response. SCAM SCAM, Someone said their was a possible class action law suite. If so I would love to jump on the bandwagon. If you have any info on this please respond.
