Please do not use this firm if you have a case that needs to go to trial. The attorneys here did everything in their power to avoid a trial and 2 years later I’m still in and out of court dealing with the repercussions of this. My new attorney who was court appointed is ironically 1000x better than the 1 that I had through this firm. She even asked me how I ever agreed to the visitation agreement that I did, and noted that having agreed to it was a major issue. I now have another trial coming up. It’s going to be very difficult to rectify the damage done by the poor representation that I received.

We had a great experience with Arthur DeBerardino and Christine Koumoulis, both with the closing of purchasing a new house and related follow-up. We had an issue related to property taxes that they resolved in two days. They were extremely responsive and fast.

First off, this review is long over due. Let me start off by saying that if you're thinking about retaining this firm, run! I retained this firm through my union (Local 371) back in 2022 and was represented by Arthur DiBerardino. I made Arthur aware that a similar prior case had already been filed by my landlord in Civil Court and that he should attempt to get this dismissed or stayed under those conditions, my request went completely ignored. Two years pass and this year I decided to give Arthur the boot. I filed an Order to Show Cause and made the Judge aware of what I was telling Arthur all along. The Judge agreed and the case was stayed pending outcome of the Civil case. For two years Mirkin and Gordon did nothing while getting paid. I am glad I decided to defend this litigation myself

I was sent to this firm by my union. The first lawyer did not listen to my concerns, this was a landlord tenant issue. She had no knowledge of housing law. I wrote the union and one of the Supervisors from the firm called me that I would be given a very experienced lawyer. What I got was a lawyer that submitted a letter not approved by me written the previous lawyer to the Division of Housing and Community Renewal. After this I told the lawyer my concerns and what I needed. She agreed to have a phone conference. She never called me on that date. However, she called me 8 days later. Basically she had already decided how she would proceed with my case and my concerns did not matter. I was baffled ,annoyed and absolutely disgusted. I sent a letter to this firm immediately that I no longer

Absolutely the worst firm ever. Attorneys here are not invested in litigation but only work to overcharge clients in billable hours. No strategy other than to offer you an inequitable settlement. Their lack of support actually results in assisting opposing counsel. Countless negative reviews are an embarrassment and they don’t care to make improvements. Save yourself and seek out another law firm.
