I would advise caution. What should have been a straightforward child support matter, one that I could have handled myself but chose not to because the other party had counsel, ended up costing me $2,500. After reviewing the itemized billing, I believe several actions were unnecessary and appeared designed to exhaust the retainer. The actual total was closer to $3,100, but the firm chose not to bill the additional $600 as a courtesy. When I previously self-represented, I achieved better results. During this case, Mr. Fanning did not appear well prepared and failed to challenge opposing counsel when she misrepresented facts in court. Notably, this was the same opposing counsel I had no difficulty handling on my own when I was self-represented. Is Mr. Fanning courteous? Yes. Would I recomm

Not a true advocate for my divorce case. Unprepared for hearings and divorce trial. Sat back and watched opposing attorney steam roll the case. Uneven application of divorce rules and Maryland laws.

Wasn’t a true advocate for client. Not prepared and basically off handed about the case, all while charging $$$. Opposing attorney ran circles around him without so much as a fight for equity in applying Maryland laws.

I contacted Mr Fanning to represent me in a court case. His expertise, attention to detail and knowledge of the case and state law only benefited me. I won my case and he will forever be my representative. I also referred my parents to to him to assist them with writing their will. I would have never sent my parents to him if I didn't trust him. His staff is top notch. They kept me informed and up to date on my case and are always professional and polite. I highly recommend him to assist with any issues you or your company may need.

My case is ongoing currently, but I love that he itemizes everything on the bill and consistently updates weekly (through paralegal). I think for the quality of the attention to detail his fees are reasonable. The office is great and responds quickly if I have a question. I really do feel that he cares and it's not just about making his living. My case is family court related. He is 1000x better than an office I worked with previously. (Not in the state of MD) The outcome is based on my strength to push through and to make sure to throughly communicate.
