Just completed a complex closing on a lake house in Canandaigua. We did this long distance, which added to the complexity. Choosing Whitcomb Law Firm was the best move we made to help us navigate the complex and often confusing process. New York State makes nothing about buying real estate easy. Thank god for Karla Holcomb, our paralegal that was assigned to us. Karla is very knowledgeable regarding the laws. Her work ethic is unmatched and we felt that she always had our best interests first and foremost. Not happy or impressed with the services I received. The reason they have so many positive reviews is that they make you send in a review after initial consultation. I had to say no to 3 different invites to leave a review as they hadn’t started working on my case yet. They have an “ assistant” perform the consultation and this assistant tells you what can and can’t be accomplished. The assistant in my case made false promises to me about what could and couldn’t be accomplished. I had to make my Decision on obtaining a lawyer based on our consultation. I reluctantly agreed and then found out later that nothing we talked about could be accomplished. When I canceled, I received only 1/3 of what I paid them. I would not use this team again. False advertising and mislead guidance from someon
