Very sad, utah legal services needs to change what they say they help with. I have grandchildren in the most abusive situation that were placed their but a very dishonest caseworker that I have proven to their supervisors and the director of DCFS also the office of Ombudsman and the lies that continues to go on is causing life changing trauma to my grandchildren. Utah legal services keeps pulling up as someone to help individuals in need. Not true! They won't even help me to find probono and I even with children being used and abused DCFS

Lady working intake today at 11:20 Am on 10/9/25 is very rude. She claimed I was upset and placed me on hold. When I called back she sent me to voicemail. If you don’t like your job please get a new one.

Didn’t help me at all. They accepted my case but slow and unhelpful. Waste of time. Disappointing

Workforce Services directed me to Lawson and Gary for help on my case. They never spoke to me or reviewed my side before denying me. My case looked like it was going to fail in their eyes. For me to figure out the decision, I had to call, leave a voicemail, and then I got an email back from Lawson. This encounter made me not feel confident in my hearing. Throughout my process I had no one listen to my side, including the attorneys who were suppose to be on my side. I'm happy to say I've won without their help. There is hope, even if others don't see it.

I’ve gotten they’re help for family members for protective orders and with renter’s rights. For the most part I’ve had good experiences with them. Although they are less willing to rake anything to court to handle and assert renter’s rights. They gave mostly advised family members to move instead of taking the landlord and such to court. They did communicate with the landlords to get more time to move and such, but not to assert rights as much.
