My dad has used Smith Knowles for years and I'm giving them 1 stars because my dad liked them historically, and his 5 star review will average with my review. My dad now has dementia and as they were selling their home and moving into a patio home, we were looking at options to avoid dad having to sign all the paperwork. The Title Company said we could get 2 doctors to sign statements saying dad was incapacitated. I made the mistake of calling his lawyer and talking to a legal assistant and asking her what they'd recommend. I was told that my mom could come sign some paperwork and have it notarized and recorded, and a bunch of other stuff. It sounded a lot more complicated than just getting 2 doctors to sign a statement (his doctors were neighbors of the family), so I didn't ask for a

Adam Kawaguchi is my attorney and has done everything I thought an attorney should do and more. I've always had quick responses to any of my questions and never once had to question whether or not my voice and concerns were not only heard, but felt valid and important. David and Tamara are excellent to work with. They helped my wife and I set up a trust and series llc. Very knowledgeable, very patient and David breaks everything down in an easily digestible format. We had an absolutely horrible experience with this company and the Attorney. They were assigned to perform an evaluation for a civil court case involving custody. Supposedly a "Special Master" looking out for the kids rights. Far from any level of competence was exhibited. The report was delayed and extended and in the end did absolutely nothing other than add time and extensive costs all around. So, we were more than double billed from them what was quoted and necessary to provide a worthless report which we then had to pay our Real attorney to review, review with the Judge and then pretty much throw away as it did no good for anything with the case. They refused to work with us at all on billing a reasonable amount for services that we should have honestly billed them for because of the
