My mom paid $400 for a consultation only to be told there was nothing Toups Law Firm could do. I think she sent my mom some kind of form to get a doctor to sign but that was it. I probably could have googled this form myself. $400 for a consultation seemed a little strange to me considering most lawyers give free consultations but we paid it anyway hoping that they could help, plus she said it would be applied towards a retainer later if she took the case. They did absolutely nothing and then told my mom weeks later that they could do nothing further to help her. No referral to another lawyer, no refund or even partial refund, didn’t ask for any updates on the situation, nothing at all really.
