I had a pretty frustrating experience with this law firm. I chose them because they were the only ones in Lumberton that handled real estate closings, but I really wish I hadn’t. First off, they were extremely unorganized, which added so much stress to what should of been a straight forward cash closing they over complicated the process. To make matters worse, they insisted that I pay my back taxes upfront before we could close. I’ve been in the real estate business for over 11 years, and I’ve never had a closing attorney demand that. Usually, the taxes are prorated and come out of the sale proceeds. Worst experience I’ve had with a law firm. Unorganized from start to finish. Unprofessional. Poor communication, careless mistakes, and ZERO urgency. Very disappointed and I would not recommend! I hate to do this but there was way too many issues to ignore.
