There seems to be a real disconnect in good paralegals. When I first started off with the slim Lord and Colombia legal services. A young lady, by the name of Michelle was there and she was on her a game. Unfortunately she's not there any more. So then I found myself meeting them again. For the same song, Lord and I got Austin, which he was very good. I don't know what happened to a breakdown in a communication, but they closed my case. And he said, I could always go back in and do intake, and they would open me a different case in which they did, however, they referred my case to Charleston, South Carolina unbelievable, because The Charleston office could only give me the kind of information. My experience with this legal aid office was incredibly disappointing and left me feeling misled and emotionally drained. From the very beginning, it felt like they knew they couldn’t truly help with my case — but instead of being upfront, they dragged me through weeks of back-and-forth, giving me false hope and wasting valuable time that I could’ve used to prepare differently. I came to this office for support and clarity during an incredibly stressful time — but I left feeling just as confused and disappointed as when I walked in. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who needs real, consistent legal help. I genuinely hope they improve how they treat people who are already going through so much.

The intake specialist is rude and unprofessional. And they appointed me an attorney who never showed up to court. He called me once, a week before the hearing, then I never heard from him again. No communication, no explanation, nothing..

Will do and say absolutely ANYTHING to not help. Even when it’s a case where the safety of children are on the line. First I wasn’t “eligible” for representation because dss was involved despite dss not being involved with ME, then it was because dss was NO LONGER INVOLVED. I was told by the paralegal I’d get a letter from an attorney I never spoke to with “advice” about my issue. Only ever talked to Samantha the paralegal who couldn’t have given less of a crap about the situation or even trying to help. “Well I feel sorry for u, but this happens all the time” got it Samantha! Hope you sleep well at night! Meanwhile still no letter and the issue has been resolved with no help at all from legal services or Samantha. You should be ashamed.

When I had the issue and needed their help what was going on? They would not help me because I was not the legal wife now that it’s over and there’s proof that these people have claimed to my child as their own and probate it’s telling me on the website that I can’t even put in an application Anderson, South Carolina is not listed I will totally give them no stars if I could and to the woman I called on the number you have listed who told me if maybe if you’ve left him and he would’ve went back to his wife She left him first I’ll be praying for you tonight
