I want to share my personal experience with Emanuel County Superior Court and Judge Richard McKneely, in hopes that it helps others understand what they might face. In my opinion, this court system failed my family and me. My grandfather had a will, which we believed to be properly signed, notarized, and on file with the clerk’s office. Shockingly, the original document went missing, and no one in the clerk's office could explain why. I had a copy, and under Georgia Code § 53-4-46, I thought it should stand — especially given my close relationship with my grandfather and the support we had from witnesses and legal counsel.
