Our case was mismanaged from the start: John went on vacation and his “substitute” attorney filed papers without notifying us. The other side blew up. We had no knowledge, so we had no idea how to handle. Weeks later, a reconciliation phone call was scheduled between both sides but John was late by 45 minutes due to his child’s dentist appointment and was not prepared. During the call he did not mention any of our key issues provided to him. He was mostly silent for 45 minutes while the other attorney decimated us. His wife tried to calm us down, asked John why he did not use our list but he still did not.
