Melanie Moffat is the best lawyer in the jefferson city mo and I have been her client since 2021. She helped me with her advice what's bad and what's good for my case,she is a professional lawyer in the town. I won my child custody case because of her and I'll hire her again and again in the future. Please don't read or listen to people that gave her 1 star because they never used her to be their lawyer or they didn't listen to her advice and when it failed they blamed her not themselves,hater is gonna hate no matter what!!! Everyday for the rest of my life will be different because of Melanie. when the mother of my child took my daughter and moved I went 15 months without seeing my ten year old. When Melanie entered on my case we started a very difficult journey of getting my daughter back, and proving to the courts and the world that I deserved to be a parent. And I did. By doing what she asked me to, do the mother can never take my daughter away from me again. This was a very long road filled with hoops i had to jump through, but i prevailed. To anyone seemingly going through what I did, not being able to see their babies, and are willing to do what the courts prescribe. I would say definitely hire Melanie.

My experience with Melanie Moffitt as my attorney was extremely disappointing. I hired her to handle a custody and child support matter, but from the start, it seemed like she was more focused on what she believed was best, rather than listening to what I needed or what both parents had already agreed on. She consistently dismissed my input, even when it aligned with what the mother of my child wanted as well. Instead of moving quickly to close the case in the first month—when it could have been easily resolved—she delayed progress, added unnecessary complications, and ignored the path I asked her to take.
