I can't say enough about good things about the quality work J Barney put into my case. Professional and genuinely caring. Due to the nature of my case I paid a pretty big down payment (for me) but the price was extremely fair as our case dragged out for months but Barney stuck by me and for that I'm forever grateful and highly recommend them.

I have never dealt with McCabe, Wikstrom or Barney but everyone needs to be aware of their adding Sandy Lax to their firm. She collected 300,000 in fees from me but did very little, she billed for other attorneys and were not hired by me, she never visited where my kids lived after promising to do so. She went long periods of time without speaking to my children yet still offered an opinion in court. Do not hire her under any circumstances. You will regret it. I wish I could give her zero stars or wish I had given her $10,000 to just go away

Mike McCabe did well with a challenging defendant. If you are looking for someone who is to the point without a lot of bravado, we would recommend looking at this firm. Rather than threats or bluffing, we felt this firm stuck to the leverage the plaintiff had based on the legal aspects of the case. This is what we were looking for. We also appreciated that Mike seemed to avoid making assumptions based on preconceptions, e.g. gender stereotypes, and instead reviewed the facts of the case.
