Mr. Shahon caused significant emotional harm to the minor he was appointed to protect. Rather than listening and advocating, he interrogated, dismissed, and belittled the child. His actions felt more about checking a box than truly serving the minor’s best interests. In court, he falsely accused me of not paying him, resulting in a public reprimand. I had paid all issued invoices; his office failed to send the most recent one. Overall, Mr. Shahon’s conduct was damaging and unprofessional. Instead of helping, he made an already difficult situation worse for both the child and our family.

He is a warm person but when it comes to being a lawyer, there were many balls dropped on my case, to say the least. I had to switch to another lawyer after giving him benefit of the doubt a little too many times. If yours is a simple case, which divorce cases rarely are, perhaps not a good idea to pay $200 for the initial consultation fee.

Mathew is the worst lawyer you can get..if your in family court and have a minors counsel set in..do not i repeat for your kids own good..refuse to get this man...he does not do his job right..he will not listen to all the evidence and will not listen to your concerns. Hes more concerned with money and his bias opininon not doing justice.

Couldn't complete a sentence when trying to HIRE him. If you can't listen to a potential client how do you expect to win their case? Fired before hired.
