Mak & Liang

I was working with Ms Liang for a property. As we worked together for a while, I slowly recognize that they overload their work. I can’t have a quick response, every time I call her, she makes it sounds like I was bothering her. I was at a critical stage of the process, I was told she took a vacation and pass the work to Ms mak. I was like: fine everyone needs a break. However, the transfer of documents was not organized, not well-represented. It was clear that ms Mak didn’t know very well about my case at all. They are either very unorganized or very overloaded to the point they shouldn’t take another client. Since then I switched to another attorney, way better experience than them, and just make me realize what a horrible job they did.

Horrible service! I called them for a real estate closing. Price was ok, but you can find better attorneys for less. After I highlighted a mistake Michele (a paralegal) made, she quit in the middle of the process without further discussion and informing the other party. The attorneys of the firm were never involved. Unprofessional and childish behavior. Attitude was rude throughout. No wonder such bad reviews for many people (which I just read). Avoid!

I went through a similar experience as another reviewer. Ms. Mak and Ms.Liang are unethical and unprofessional. When I contacted Ms.Liang she was very rude and also screamed at me. The worst part was she hung up on me all of a sudden like I own her money no educate at all. On closing day when the money was supposed to be transfered to our bank, they never did it it or give us a call and we were so worried and when we called them the next morning, they said they received the money at 3pm. I get that they may have been busy, but not even giving us a call is unacceptable to me. I would never trust this team with any real estate deal.

Ms.Liang is very rude and unprofessional. She keep saying NO NO NO when I called her initially. the most unprofessonal attorney you had ever work with when you need buy a house. She had an assistant keep provide inaccurate advice and try to change the closing date in the last minute. She also couldn't get the calculation correct, my proceed was off for 10 times, she still insist me signed off the closing paperwork. The worst attorney in north NJ that you should avoid at all cost. I went to her office and hear that she was yelling to everyone in the room. I do recommend her client to seek for psychotherapist before and after talking to her especially if you are asian.

I recently purchased a home in Paramus and Ms.Mak represented the seller. The house is located in the flood zone but the sellers swore to us that the house was never flooded during their 30 year occupancy. We like the house very much and decided to purchase the house because the sellers had agreed to provide an affidavit at closing. On the day of closing, during walk-through, the sellers weren't even ready and were still packing up. We tried to delay the closing but was convinced that they would finish moving and cleaning by the end of the day. We helped the sellers cleaning for 2 hours until it's was time to close at the title company.
