My experience with Lindsay Matthews as a Guardian ad Litem was very disappointing. For the significant costs associated with her services, I expected thorough involvement, fairness, and a genuine focus on my daughter’s best interests. Instead, I found her to be disconnected from the case and at times, in my opinion displaying clear bias. Throughout the process, I often felt that important details were overlooked and that her role was not carried out with the level of care and impartiality that is essential in matters involving children. While I understand that every professional has their own approach, in my opinion, Lindsay did not provide the level of advocacy and attentiveness that this critical role demands. Unfortunately all of my experiences with Lindsay Matthews were unpleasant and she was very vindictive. She was the GAL in a custody case with my ex and from the moment she was assigned the case she favored him. Before she even met me she gave him his way on everything. In almost 2 years she sided with me 1 time. In that entire time she spent less than 30 minutes with me and my children, but spent hours and hours with dad and the kids. Her actions hurt my children more than she will ever know... and if she does I doubt she even cares. In the end she completely sided with my ex in court and they both lost. I completely won my case. I was granted everything I asked for and more. I would not hire her if she paid me and if she is ever assigned as your GAL...RUN!!!

Lindsay was on my step kids’ case and was 100% biased towards the father. She did not look out for the best interest of the child and caused way more harm than anyone else ever did or will. Always ask for a new GAL if she is appointed to your case. Extremely unprofessional and nasty. And yes, we did win, judge even ruled against her ridiculous parenting plan. As she should have.

Despite being given full documentation and a clear spreadsheet outlining all financials and expectations, Lindsey consistently failed to act in a timely or objective manner. Definitely does not have the children's best interest in mind. Spent less than 30 minutes in one year's time communicating with mother. Never reached out to anyone close to the children. Hateful and biased.
