Legal Services of Southern Missouri

The receptionist is of no help. They want you to magically obtain two letters from two different attorneys not willing to help you. Then offer no advice on how to obtain this letter from an obviously unwilling attorney. I don't know how this is funded, but it's a BIG JOKE!

I have requested legal help about 5 to 6 at least time, and we have been denied services due to lack of help. If a person qualifies for the services but they do not have enough Attorneys to take care of the people, then what good are they? Our tax dollars support this Office! So American's are paying for employees in a department that actually does nothing except process paperwork and tell people they don't have the staff to do the job they are getting paid for to help the public. Save the tax dollars and just shut that department down!! Why build false hopes that there is actually someone out there that can help when there is NO help!!

If you are looking for professional help do not go to these people. I wasted almost 2 years of my life with them. They never answered phone calls or answered voice-mail messages.. they never filed for my divorce they just sit around and don't take things seriously.. I had time more than enough time to file for my divorce before my husband did but they failed to do that after 2 years and bc my husband filed first which was only 2 weeks ago the lawyer says he can't take my case anymore bc he filed in a different county and dropped me. I would never recommend these people to anyone. They left when I needed them the most and left me in the dark not knowing what to do they are terrible. 2 years was long enough to atleast put in a request with a judge but they didn't. Someone needs to shut this

I'm still in limbo as to whether I'll be able to even receive help, and these people are WONDERFUL at leasing my anxiety no matter the outcome! I've never felt so at ease speaking to someone with this entire ordeal I've been doing along since 2016. To finally have someone listen means the world, and I'll never be able to thank them enough!

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and their attorneys are fantastic. I had a great experience in an unfortunate situation and would highly recommend
