He accepted my case to help me file for divorce and was very nice and helpful during our initial consultation. When it was the day to file, he was in meetings all day and could not talk. He originally sent me a document with someone else's name on it. He never addressed this when I informed him. The notary caught the mistake. He did not have any other documents ready when I expected and said it would take several days to make them. I ended up just doing it myself with my ex and everything turned into the courts in several hours. When I informed Sam I would like to go another route and to have a refund, he hung up in my face. He did mail me a check. Super unprofessional, rude, and made this process so much more stressful than it needed to be.

I met Mr. Scholar just by chance, and he has now been working with me to recover an outstanding debt. He has been very accessible by phone and email, always replying very quickly to requests--something that is in short supply with many attorneys. During in-person meetings, he seems to be quite engaged and takes the time to hear out my concerns. So far, of the several attorneys I've crossed paths with, Mr. Scholar looks like the best fit for my situation. A suggestion to others looking for the right attorney: give yourself time to meet several before going with one that's a good fit, I didn't find Mr. Scholar until after speaking with perhaps a dozen different attorneys, and as mentioned, even then it was a chance meeting.

My wife and I hired Mr. Scholar with the intent of estate planning purposes (creating our will). Mr. Scholar charges an initial up front fee of $300, then an additional $300 once the will is complete. The process went relatively smooth until the day we were supposed to stop in to sign the will (made an appointment for 9:30am on August 06, 2021). Prior to the appointment I notified Mr. Scholar that my wife was very pregnant, but we wanted to get this done so we proceeded forward. On the day of the appointment my wife and I had meetings and the appointment ultimately slipped our minds, 100% our fault. Mr. Scholar called me at 9:39am and I immediately offered my sincere apologies, asked if we could stop by at his convenience, and offered to jump in our vehicle immediately and be at his office

Sam Scholar was my attorney for a custody issue recently. While we did not receive everything I was asking for, he was able to help mice have my case heard justly, and changes in circumstances acknowledged and added to my divorce decree. Sam is very professional and capable and sympathetic to his clients.
