I was referred to Brenda because my ex was using an attorney who is friends with her. Brenda was not fair. Ignored issues of abuse and focused more on money. I was spoken to like a dog and got no where in my case other than proving my point — after being berated and spending thousands. Protect kids? Absolutely not. If there was a way to give more stars to this law firm I would. I have been a client of Brenda Kobals for 3+ years now and she has well exceeded my every expectation, and my expectations were extremely high given the seriousness of my situation. She is professional, knowledgeable, and consistently responsive to my every question or request. Lastly, her reputation is beyond reproach. Everytime (not sometimes, not most times, I truly mean everytime) I mention who my attorney is to anyone involved in the family court system, the immediate response is, "She is the best in the area, you made the right choice". Kobal charges for things she said she did when there was proof she did not. Charges for attorney fees she claimed she did when it was her assistant who did them. Yes, she charges whether she or her assistant did something. Lied when she claimed I was late with payment when, in fact, I had bank statements as proof. I ended up firing her for poor service. Watch out, she's pals with many lawyers and gives them information to them. (Right Dawn R? Nice you two are great pals).

Atty. Kobal is unethical, vulgar, a straight up liar. and unprofessional. 2nd Worst experience in my life dealing with another human being(and I use the term loosely). I have worked 18 years at a prison and she makes the inmates look like Mother Theresa. Lackawanna, Luzerne, and Wyoming Counties should be ashamed they hire her to watch over the well-being of our most treasured assets(our children). Stay away from this train wreck. Wherever she goes trouble follows, and her staff will lie right to your fave or vehind your back as well. If you plan on using her as a lawyer just do yourself a favor and burn whatever money you were going to use to retain her. You will save yourself a lot in the long run. We provided services for this attorneys office and they never finished paying us. Do not use them! Any attorney who won't pay for the services other companies provide for them does NOT deserve to collect money for providing services. And what's worse, they will ignore you. That's right, just simply never call you back while leaving you with their outstanding balance. Steer clear!
