I recently worked with Chris Hover and his law firm Hover & Mackowski, PLLC on the closing of my home in Schenectady, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Out of all the homes I’ve purchased over the years, this was by far the smoothest process. Chris handled every detail with professionalism, and his negotiation skills exceeded my expectations—he secured more in seller concessions than I ever anticipated. I highly recommend Chris Hover to anyone in need of a knowledgeable, reliable, and effective real estate attorney.

I am disappointed with the unprofessional and unethical conduct displayed by attorney Vincent and his paralegal Hillary. They forwarded privileged information to the seller’s agent without my consent—an egregious breach of trust and confidentiality. To make matters worse, after they were hired to correct errors in the deed due to their inadequate counsel during the initial purchase, they failed to file the new deed, despite confirming they had all the necessary documents. Their actions have caused significant delays and complications, and I will be reporting their gross misconduct to the Attorney Grievance Committee of the Third Judicial Department and the Attorney General. I strongly advise others to avoid their services.

We had the unfortunate occasion of having to work with Jason Hover and his paralegal Hillary as they represented the seller in our home purchase. Not only did we find them to be rude and petty, their work on the very simple cash purchase had multiple mistakes. ~The closing statement was calculated incorrectly, to their client's disadvantage, and provided less than 24 hours before our closing appointment. (I didn't bother pointing it out as I was sick of snarky responses) ~They misspelled my name on the deed.
