Was given very poor legal advice to withdrawal all of Spouses money prior to divorce. Turned away this lawyer as Virginia would consider that a Dissipation of assets. Good thing I checked with more than one source before doing anything. Felt like I was being set up based on my gender.

Highly recommend! He knows what he's doing and gets straight to the point. Having said that there is a level of comfort there. Carter and Heather are very valuable to the legal needs of the Bedford community

Carter Garrett has been my attorney in a variety of needs for 15+ years. The thing that stands out about Carter and his staff is the casual, "put you at ease" environment of the office. You won't find the usual pretense & posturing expected or experienced when visiting an attorney, there is nothing stuffy or starched about his office or attitude. However dont think that is the way your need or case will be handled! He is always professional and not afraid to push for what he wants or feels is reasonable in court. He is honest about what he feels the outcome of a situation may be to the client, upfront about the cost and his expectations of you, as his client. He won't "talk over your head" or mind explaining what you don't understand, but don't expect" hand holding" or "coddling" either
