Having previously had both the nightmare experience of dealing with probate and easy, automatic experience of inheriting from a trust, we knew that we needed to have a trust created. The video by Mr. Farr is very informative and enables a more efficient initial meeting. From personal experience, I concur with his portrayal of the probate process. As a CPA who has had to file these documents, I concur with how challenging and time consuming this can be. Maintaining detailed records and balancing to the penny is a must when filing probate documents. Not to mention the probate fees. This is an avoidable expense.
