Was refused assistance because even on disability I am over income. Only to find out that my soon-to-be ex managed to obtain them as legal counsel.

Don't even bother trying to apply. The Greeley office literally doesn't accept certain types of cases, even though the official website says they do. Instead, they think that providing information I can get by searching on Google is special and helpful. Why is your organization promoting you accept certain types of cases when you actually don't?

Called to ask for legal advice, was in turn just told to use the internet and google it

I was in a women's shelter for about a month. I had an interview and because I didn't want to take my ex for everything they declined to help me. Because of "limited resources". I couldn't afford legal help. I am not able to stay in the home that I was in for 18 years. He has legal representation and I do not. I feel like because I wasn't willing to go for the throat that I wasn't helped. Very frustrated and at a loss. I just wanted some help being guided through the process. But the choices I make that effect him and my daughter are mine to live with so I didn't feel it necessary or right to take away things from them.

Applied for help with them, the only times that they'll talk with you are from 9am to 3pm m-f had to take time off so I could discuss my application. Only to find out I make 4% more than poverty and not eligible. I asked if there were other agency's that might be able to help me. The response was that they cannot give any more advise, since I'm not eligible. I asked differently the second time. I'm not asking for legal advise right now, just an agency that might be able to help me. I recieved the same answer. I need helo and they turned thir backs over 4%.
