I am writing this review based on my direct personal experience with Mary Brigham while she was serving as a court-appointed attorney. During meetings, she repeatedly attempted to tell me what to say. I was uncomfortable with this and explicitly refused. I found this behavior unprofessional and inappropriate for an attorney in a court-appointed role. This was when I was seven years old. I also have serious concerns about billing practices. My parents were charged $350 per hour, despite my understanding that in Connecticut, court-appointed private attorneys (assigned counsel) are paid at a much lower hourly rate ($75/hour in 2024 for family court).
