They will lie to you to get your business. They will tell you, Creditors will love you for using them ( Boulder) Instead of getting a bill consolidation loan. Trust me. Get a loan to consolidate. Boulder will only give them a small percentage of what you pay Boulder! For example: I paid Boulder $316.00 a month. They paid 4 of my creditors $5 a month.Five Dollars!!! After I have paid Boulder for over 4 years I canceled their services. Now the creditors are coming after me when I thought Boulder settled my accounts. My credit is shot now!

Read the reviews. Do not use these people. They are liars and scamers. They They promise everything but give nothing. They give you different answers depending on who you talk to. They blatantly ripped me off. Not only did I pay out more than what I owed, they decided to take more money the last 3 months. I called every month to ask about it and got 3 different answers. Also the don't tell you the money they do save you is considered income and you will have to pay tax on it. Also my 4 year program turned out to be 7 years. Just call the creditors yourself and negotiate. If you do use a third party DO NOT USE BOULDER although I think they are all the same.

I'm writing this review after a few years because I am still dealing with the negative ramifications of using Boulder Legal's program. I was a customer a few years ago. While they did help me negotiate out of some debt, they don't tell you how they will destroy your credit in the future by telling you to not make payments on your accounts so you can prove you have a hardship paying your bills. What they don't tell you is that you will accrue a bunch of late payments that will destroy your credit and will take years to be removed from your credit report. When I signed up for their program, yes i did have debt, but I had a 720 credit score. It has now been over 5 yrs since I used BLG to settle $60k in credit card debt. My experience has been stellar. The process was very transparent and anyone with a modicum of intellect must know that if you are not paying your creditors for several months in order to build your reserve so BLG can negotiate will impact your credit score. All of my creditors were negotiated and paid off. I did have only one that commenced legal action but BLG connected me to an attorney who resolved the issue. The key to my success is timely payments and keeping BLG informed. I have been with Boulder Legal Group now for approximately three years. Up until August of this year, I felt they did a good job in negotiating outstanding balances with my creditors. However, in August, I had come into some money through a medical settlement and called Boulder to attempt to get a payoff amount and start the proceedings to pay-off what remaining creditors I had. To make a long story short, I have contacted them 6 times now and though I have received three separate payoff paperwork from them, they are so inept that the debit which was arranged has still not gone through.
