Save your money and go somewhere else. I paid $300 for a consultation and he was useless. Not only did he not keep up with the interaction conversation but was useless and at the end tells me he is not able to even take my case if I was to hire him. Why would you take a consultation if you couldn't take on a case.

I wish I had read the reviews from other sites because I had the same experience. Mr. Bell was VERY rude from the moment I met him. He spent about 35 minutes with me and took that time to repeatedly verbally beat me down about mistakes that were made in my divorce agreement. Mistakes I am well aware of. He wouldn't hardly read the paperwork I put in front of him or listen when I would explain. When I offered ideas of actions to take he told me to go to the Court Library. Mr. Bell does NOT want to do anything other than take your $300 and never see you again. I asked for a refund but never received one. I know family law attorneys are hard to find in Nevada County. But I would suggest going to Auburn. It will be worth your time and the extra distance!

Warning ‼️ Don’t hire this man!! I hired Joe to handle my divorce, this was the worst decision of my life. He lost every single time in court and lost me the ability to see or contact my son at all, and my ex walked away with everything. All this for tens of thousands in attorney fees. Joe cares nothing about you or your kids just his billable hours. When I asked him for help dealing with my issues he just smiled and said “well you married her” Warning ⚠️ don’t hire this man he will ruin your life.

I actually agree with others he is very rude doesn't seem to take anybody's feelings into consideration while he verbally attacks and belittles you. I quickly realized I was in the wrong field having pay $300 for a half hour for some gentleman to sit across from me and not help whatsoever and make me feel worse after I left than when I originally came in. I'd like mr. Joseph Bell to know that after a long two and a half years of divorce 3 covid in all of its ups and downs I came out on top throughout it all without an attorney to represent me ..
