Found Kelly through a estate planning class at the Lafayette Library. Kelly was the only attorney that I was able to ask a specific question and got a direct answer. Signed up with her firm to have a Will, Revocable Trust, and Power's of Attorney drawn up. Have met with Kelly and staff to go over the process, and yes do some homework as well. Kelly (the owner) is a great communicator and really cares about the outcomes of her work. She practised civil litigation for many years and saw the outcomes of poor planning. Her system of completely understanding your situation first allows her to craft the ideal trust for your situation. You get what you pay for, this isn't a document factory, so expect to pay $4000 upwards, depending on complexity. Cheaper than probate, which is 1 of the 4 reasons for a trust. Others are control of assets and distribution, reducing estate tax ($15mil.), and control of guardianship without the court deciding. You will not regret choosing this law firm for your family trust.
