I hired an awesome real estate law firm, and they were fantastic. They really knew their stuff about houses and property rules, making everything super easy for me. Thank goodness I only had to deal with Denton Ashway briefly. He is extremely condescending. He asked for me to sign paperwork for the sale of my father’s home. When I questioned him about some of the documents and asked for supports for the document he wanted me to sign he became agitated. It was clear that he is used to people signing documents without opposition. After he asked me to review with my own counsel and I did and asked him for the recommended changes he then began using intimidation tactics to attempt to force me into signing the paperwork.

In November 2021, my husband and I found the Principal Partner of the firm, one Mr. Denton Ashway, extremely condescending and insulting toward us. We put down a 30% deposit (that is, 30% of the total cost ) out of our hard-earned money in cash on a sizeable property deal and the closing was handled by this two-person law office. As he handed over some documentation to my husband, Denton Ashway told my husband to be sure of what he was signing, because in the United States fraudulent representations in signing such documents are not tolerated, the implication being, of course, that there was a chance that we were making fraudulent representations. This, to an attorney who is the Principal Partner/owner in a much larger law practice than the Ashway Law Firm! I would go so far as to call Mr.
