I have a very complex real estate dilemma, and I've been turned down by 7 law firms. After the many rejections, I called Young & Valkenet. To my surprise, I was listened to and treated like a human for once. Not only did Thomas Valkenet listen, but he specializes in the situation that's happening to me regarding this particular real estate issue. Though we've only had 1 meeting, I have been shown the upmost professionalism, grace, and knowledge.

I came to Ian Valkenet with a very complex real estate matter. Without any hesitation, he came up with a plan that would solve my problem and be the most favorable for me. Over a year of litigation, Ian always kept me in know of what was happening in the case. He even took time to explain the more complicated areas. Edit: Once they receive your five star review and money, they're wholly unresponsive to email, voicemail, and phone calls. My evolving legal situation had progressed to a point where I needed more guidance since my initial interaction with Ian. Even the new 'intake specialist', whom also bears the Valkenet name, doesn't answer the phone. Odd way to run a business but I guess they got what they wanted so I'll be moving on. Got a call back from Young & Valkenet after briefly explaining my situation and the possibility of requiring real estate law guidance. I received precise, honest and thorough advice from Ian which left me with a few definitive paths to choose from for solving my issue. Definitely recommend giving this firm a go.

First off let me say if you are looking for an attorney you have found him! I’ve hired many attorneys in Maryland of the years and NOT ONE can compare to Ian Valkenet. He is honest, straight forward, and the most educated attorney in his field we’ve ever spoken to. Which was over a dozen for this particular case. I consulted with Thomas Valkenet regarding a dispute I'm having with my condo association. I kind of expected him to explain my options without giving me any real advice unless I put down a retainer, but he gave me honest, thorough advice and explained the pros and cons and likely potential outcomes. He didn't necessarily tell me what I "wanted" to hear but he told me what I needed to hear, gave me some much needed perspective on the issue, and made me feel more at ease about making my final decision.
