I was involved in a home purchase transaction where William Edleston represented the seller. Although he was not my attorney, his responsiveness and communication significantly affected the progress of the deal. After both parties were under contract and I had already incurred substantial out-of-pocket expenses for inspections, attorney fees, and housing arrangements, my attorney attempted to contact Mr. Edleston multiple times regarding the status of the transaction. My family had a history with Edlestons office. He handled my parents wills, my real estate transaction and possibly other transactuons of my parents. Recently we had a question and had scheduled a conference call after asking a few times to handle a probate type matter in a will. We had a discussion and Bill told us he would speak to a tax attorney that he knew for clarification and get back to us. I emailed him two weeks later without response. Emailed him the next week without response. I called the office to follow up and schedule another call to see what information Bill had found. I spoke to his office and was told to email them directly that Bill was swamped and it would be better tfor a quicker response. I'm extremely unsatisfied with the services we paid for. When you hire a real estate attorney, you expect them to handle major issues for you that arise. Bill Edleston will not communicate with you whatsoever once he gets your money. Our home had a radon level of 23 which is extremely high. We have 5 children & we have been very concerned about this & have asked about the remediation & if that was ever completed. He knows he messed up allowing our home to close without this fixed & now that we realized it - he will not respond. Do not hire him!
