My sister and I took care of our mother who had short term memory loss (dementia) for 6 years without any help from our other sister and brother until she died. Mother gave my sister and me the small amount of money she had in her accounts upon her death. Our brother felt he was entitled even though he and our other sister had nothing to do with her for 6 years and took us to court. Ruth Westmont was hired by the judge Rhonda Lanford to be the impartial personal representative for our mother who had died the year before and our brother was ordered to pay her bill by the judge because he was bringing the suit. I don’t like to ruin anyone’s rep, however this is my honest review in hopes to save another person their time and money as well. Don’t waste your precious time & money here, it’s not worth it!! Ruth Westmont was my attorney and she is one of the RUDEST women I’ve ever met. She always seemed to be in a bad mood, she talked to me like she yelling at me and had no manners, no compassion, bad tempered and irritable. She hung up the phone before letting me finish, she only cared about what she had to say. Almost every time before we connected, for not even a 5minute conversation, she immediately says “YOU KNOW YOU’RE PAYING ME $300 NO MATTER WHAT”. Every phone call, every appearance. I had a consultation with Ruth Westmont and let me just say this was the quicker consultation I’ve ever had with a lawyer. I was inquiring for legal representation. My trial is a month away which I understand isn’t a far deadline, however the way I was spoken to was simply unnecessary and unprofessional. I was told by her “she has too much on her plate.” I have a 3 year old and I have serious concerns , therefore I also have a lot on my plate. I would advise she learns how to speak to people, you simply never know what someone is going through.
