I retained Jennifer E. Flatow, Esq. as Guardian ad Litem by court order, issued by the fifth judge (of 7 judges to date) assigned to my case. I had no role in selecting her. The retainer agreement limited her role to fact-finding: interviewing parties and witnesses, collecting documents, and conferring with counsel on notice to both sides.
