We used this company for a closing on my first home purchase. Long story trying to cut short - Included in my down payment was supposed to be - for the house, the previous years income tax ($8000) , etc. They take the $8000 and send it to the IRS, with a major typo. “Pay to the order of: IRS”. It’s supposed to pay to the order of my name. 2 years later I’m still dealing with the IRS over this $8000 typo. They’ve threatened to place a lien on the very home I purchased using this company. Even though the IRS has the money, it is unapplied to my account. I mean.. You paid to the order of the IRS. Thanks for paying them, for them. You all should be the ones spending these hours on hours rectifying this issue. Instead I’m on the phone for the 4th time with the IRS, average phone call time of 90

In the last year, we have used Derek Malcolm’s office for a home closing, will revision, and writing of custom lease agreements. We have found him to be knowledgeable, attentive and responsive, a good communicator, and just an all-around good guy to work and meet with. Not having much experience with legal issues previously, it meant a lot to us that he was easy to talk with and answered our questions graciously and in detail. We would definitely use his office again and recommend him to family and friends!

Derek completed a quitclaim deed for me a few years ago when I was going through a very stressful time in my life. He was beyond competent and nice. He made the process so easy and so stress-free. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Absolutely the most unorganized & unprofessional office. We did a real estate transaction with them, they had multiple people handling one deal and calling to ask for the same info multiple times. Get to the closing table finally and the lady could not have been more rude to my clients. Teena is absolutely awful and shouldn't be dealing with the public whatsoever. She was unorganized, unfamiliar with the transaction and snippy the whole time. 0/10 would never do a deal here again. Sara is the only nice one that has it together.

Absolute incompetence. These folks have manage surpass any expectations of idiocy that I had pertaining to a real estate closing. My business partner and I have multiple investment properties and are no strangers to these transactions. They asked for the same documents multiple times, made up rules that they claimed were the law. Absolutely no communication among the five different people who contacted me for various things. Withheld the wire transfer until I read them the numbers over the phone after verifying 3 different ways including a notarized document with the closing papers.
