I’m writing to express my profound disappointment and concern regarding the outcome of today's court proceedings. The handling of my case resulted in the dismissal of my protective order, leaving myself and my infant son vulnerable. This outcome stems from an error made by another party, and despite the sincere apology offered, the lack of corrective action is deeply troubling. The gravity of this situation, and the resulting risk to my son and myself, necessitates immediate attention and a thorough review of the procedural errors that led to this outcome. I will not be using them again

Suffolk Legal Aid Office has represented my family and I, in one of the toughest cases ever. My Lawyer and his Assistant was so pleasant and caring; that they made me feel like I was family. This legal aid used to be able to help low-income or income base clients. They don't have any attorneys to represent you, only for housing issues or some unemployment issues.( no civil lawsuits) They will refer you to Virginia lawyer referrals. Other areas won't come and help this legal aid. Phone calls won't be returned and documents become missing. I was suggested, if you are making copies with this office, that you are standing there with them and they do not shred anything without your consent. Get everything in writing, if they are helping resolve the issue or legal representation of you . They do have a paralegal that can try to help you but she cannot go no farther than trying to find a resolution. Since they have moved to a different location, attitudes have changed. Still profess

As per their representative, they will not discuss any assistance with a landlord. I wish they would state that detail in any public facing advertisements. I, as a landlord, used to refer tenants to Berg Legal Clinic. It's cheaper for me than going to court.

Called the Legal Aid Society and there was a longer than normal wait time. I love they have the option to leave your name and number for a call back. Yes they actually called me back within the hour. The Assistant was pleasant and well versed. Would call again if I needed help with legal questions.
