Vaughn & Smith represented me in a real estate/fraud case. I paid them $3,000.00 up front and then 2 months later another $1,580.00. The next month I get a bill for $8,300.00 for working on the discovery. It truly would have been kind if they'd informed me how much discovery was going to cost before they started it! Anyway, they would not agree to a contingency and dropped me and my case. I was informed that they will bill me monthly and charge monthly interest. My bill is now $10,700.00. I guess the party committing the fraud will be the winner!
