Back in 2017, my brother, a recently retired Navy veteran, passed away from cancer. I was appointed as the beneficiary and felt completely lost on how to handle his estate. From 2022 to 2024, James and the Tresp Law team guided me through mediation and helped settle the last of my brother’s trust and probate matters. My family and I are truly grateful for James’ professionalism, attentiveness, and patience. I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share our experience with Tresp Law. We turned to them during a time when we needed guidance on something unfamiliar, and instead of easing the process, they added significant stress and delays. Delays were consistent and communication was lacking. The billing was excessive—most notably, we were charged approx $1,000 just to file a basic property document with the county recorder. They consistently overpromised and underdelivered. Eventually, we had to switch firms, which cost us even more time and money. To top it off, it took weeks to get our retainer back and check was not issued back to the Trust as required. Please do your own due diligence, but based on our experience, I cannot recommend Tresp Law.
