I hired Robert Rieley to represent me in a case, and I was left feeling abandoned and disrespected. From the start, he failed to communicate with me properly or address my concerns. When I asked for crucial evidence that could prove my innocence—he dismissed me as “stupid” and refused to file necessary motions such as a *Brady* motion under *Arizona v. Youngblood*. He did not develop any defense strategy despite being paid under a retainer agreement, then withdrew two days before my omnibus hearing—leaving me completely unrepresented during a crucial court date. By walking away at the last minute without ensuring continuity of representation, he jeopardized my right to a fair trial.
