This firm was unethical and got away with it. We called and spoke to them several times about an important matter. They knew all the intricate details. They told us a divorce would have to be filed in order to stop the other parent from fleeing the county with the minor child. Long story short, they ended up representing the other side and refused to excuse themselves from the case. We filed a complaint with the Georgia State Bar. We refused to relent. After we had our attorney file twice, they finally exited the case altogether. I couldn’t believe that they did not receive any reprimands from the State Bar. Welcome to the “club”. They also helped me create a living trust that I did not have in place before the divorce. I can now rest assured that we have plans in place for my girls and myself for the future. Our experience was incredibly disappointing and felt more like a calculated money grab than genuine legal support. From the start, my boyfriend was nickel-and-dimed for every small interaction — even confirming receipt of an email came with a charge. It became clear that tasks were exaggerated or possibly fabricated to quickly deplete his retainer. The pattern was consistent: communication would abruptly spike when it was time to replenish funds, and itemized bills reflected questionable time entries.
