DO NOT DO IT! I hired Mr. Stegeman for a custody case. My case got a little confusing and things were happening quicker than I expected. I spoke with one of his assistants on a Tuesday and she scheduled me to discuss more with Stegeman the next Thursday - he never called, I had to call him. Then when I did call all I did was repeat the same information I told his assistant - he gave me 4 MINUTES of his time. I waited until the end of the day Friday for advice on how to proceed and still had no call back from his office. I needed someone who could help quick so I terminated Mr. Stegeman via email. I was informed by my new attorney that it normally takes about two weeks to get a refund on any unused retainer. I waited exactly two weeks to send a follow up email because I do understand things
