I own a general contracting and remodeling business. I dress in dirty torn up clothing as I go through things quickly. Ms Monica Whitt walked in LATE to unlock the building for my 9am appointment and noticeably looked me up and down as if to pre judge me based on my attire. She was quite aggressive in her explanation when I asked about fee schedule and pricing. (not available online) charges 385 an hour, and was clearly annoyed when I told her I wouldn’t be paying the 175 consultation fee without knowing what the prices were prior to doing so. Explained the way they operate, (not a retainer, but a cash account they keep as a “just in case” and still bill you biweekly with the expectation you keep it at 4k) and asked if I was fine with that. I informed them I thought it was odd and was told

I would stay away. My experience is like many. Monica Whitt was my attorney. She was very slow to return any Response. Charged close to 10,000 for no progress. Was charged 2,000 for her to show up at court. When I told her I was unable to attend beacuse I was in the hospital. I wanted her to reschedule. Instead she showed up with out me and charged me for travel. Keep your hard earned money in your pockets and go somewhere else please!

STAY AWAY! It pains me to give them a one-star because they deserve a much lower rating. I had a simple name change case and was quoted $800 during my initial consultation. They informed me of their trust balance procedure and let me know that I would need to put down a $2700 deposit. They explained that as my case was worked they would add up the charges against my trust balance and that when they case was closed I would be refunded the remained. So, if the $800 quote was accurate, I would be refunded $1900. This was all a lie. After charging my card the $2700, they continued to charge it weekly, to a current total of $5,496.62. I have checked with another law firm who told me this is NOT the standard practice in the field. To make matters worse, they did not do their due diligence with
