I want to make people aware of how this firm overcharges for its services. Our initial lawyer billed around three hours to draft a parenting plan. When we consulted another attorney, we were told our case was straightforward and that a parenting plan should take 15 minutes—30 minutes at most. In addition, they charged approximately $30 for every email sent, even when the emails were brief responses. They billed for every single document, including documents we had to prepare ourselves, which they simply submitted without reviewing. We were also asked to send the same documents multiple times, and each time we were charged again for the email. Honestly, if I could give zero stars I would. my attorney quit at the very end of filings for my divorce. I was charged for the new attorney to essentially restart everything. It shouldn’t be the client paying for the new attorneys time-getting up to speed. That should be on the firm. I should have known when the communication was horrid to begin with. Got a call from my attorney where she revealed that she wasn’t going to go to one of the court dates bc my exes lawyer was- still charged for it. I could list so many things. I’ve had an attorney before but bc of moving had to use someone new. Ask for Kennedy Womack she is the best. She is compassionate and very ethical. We wish she had represented us since the beginning, but unfortunately we had a mediocre lawyer that made us spend a fortune for nothing because now we still have our case open and no lawyer. I wish the firm would recompense us for the mistakes of the previous lawyer by leaving Kennedy Womack to represent us on the end of our case, but the firm just care about money.
