Michael Carrico of Smidt, Reist & Keleher drafted an ILLEGAL easement (common law says he has to extinguish under doctrine-of-merger). Michael’s document included same owner as granter and grantee and though it’s illegal, he doesn’t care and won't extinguish. Please issue a report to the NM Attorney Disciplinary Board if you have experienced his incompetence and unprofessionalism as many reviewers have.
Jim Reist is an OUTSTANDING lawyer. Lawyers do not get any more capable than him. I retained to assist me with a matter and he did a superb job. I give him A+ marks.
