This is a great law firm. I have used them several times for my closings and they always accommodate me in a timely manner. Their closing fees are the best in the industry and I will definitely be coming here for more closings again and again. Mr. Umpierre is arrogant and rude. I sold an investment property that was in my name only. The court ordered I give 50% of the proceeds to my ex husband. The property was fully depreciated. I needed a legal document showing my ex husband responsible for 50% of the proceeds. I made this clear upfront on the seller’s questionnaire and in many emails. I kept getting HUD-1s with my name only, then they added my ex husband’s name on page 3 of the HUD-1 yet still no document showing he was responsible for 50% of the proceeds. Finally, I got a 1099 with my name showing 50% of the proceeds. He refused to provide the 1099 for the balance of the proceeds. He said 3 times in anger, while throwing his arms up, “Now I’m on the line.” Mr. Umpierre is arrogant and rude.
Worst experience ever! I am an investor and wholesaler and had a very good property under contract. Time is money in this industry and This firm took both away from me. My first red flag should have been that Christy my case worker took 9 business days to complete title work. Red flag 2 would be poor communication about their process. Usually my go-to title company knows how to contact the seller with the info I gave them and can get me a closing date within 5 days of titlework. I had to do everything!18 days later no close date. Long story short I have the property under a lis Pendens in court because my seller grew impatient and thought they could sell to someone else. I have every single email to backup my review. They performed a closing for me on behalf of Village Capital. It was done on January 28 and when they mailed the packet back to Village Capital the attorney that did the closing left out an important document as well as lost or did not include my voided check. With the attorney leaving out a legal document my loan was unable to be funded by February 1 it was not actually funded until February 4.
