Senior Citizens Law Office

I am 75 fortunately with all mental physical capacities in tact and certainly a ‘Senior’. I am a full time caregiver for my younger wife (over 60). It has been difficult for us to face the future especially with her incapacities since 2017. In fact, I have been delaying calls for info about creating a Will or a Trust or Estate Planning…and those are pressing issues. So I was in an open, perhaps naive state when I called this law firm supposedly for “SENIORS” for several questions and possible support. This office was recommended by a kind Care Giver Support group in Albuquerque. I will be sharing this review with them in the hopes that they will be aware of this cold, too troubled to bother, non-supportive FREE service for ‘We don’t DO trusts’ and forget your wife who is (gasp!) 62. I

Kind of hit or miss here. The estate planning is great. I had a rental third-party utilities issue that another attorney was a little hostile about even explaining. When you are a senior dealing with landlords and clarification of lease agreements, a little kindness goes a long way. I left satisfied but I felt I had pulled a couple of the lawyer’s teeth when I was done.

They assumed I was my grandmothers paid help… I’m Latina and my grandmother is white. And proceeded to treat me with suspicion and rudeness that they were not displaying to other clients at the free POA workshop. Was really gross and frustrating

My Partner made an appointment for the two of us to use this firm for wills and some other legal services. So today, after waiting more than four months, we went to our appointment. We arrived about 1/2 hour early and brought our pertinent files for reference. We had to wait for someone to unlock the front door, and escort us to a waiting area. A lady appeared and asked for my partner only. My Partner mentioned that the appointment had been set for the both of us, but they would not agree to include me. I told my Partner to go ahead with her business, and I would wait for her.
