Absolutely the worst real estate closing experience! I was the point person for a real estate transaction my husband was getting from Florence Bank. “Atty” Walker charged us $1035 for a refinance that had me doing all the legwork to get payoff info, water bill payment info, etc. When I questioned his outrageous fee, he got all pis*ed off and said he would have lowered the price but didn’t like the way I asked (which was me saying that I was questioning going through with the closing unless he would lower the fee). Then he said, “we’ve already done the work so you already owe the money so I’ll see you at the closing.” (Paraphrased) But then he sent an associate to conduct the literal 10-minute closing because he said it would be too uncomfortable for him to be there.
