Ms. Neary was immediately abrasive and argumentative. I wouldn't find it productive to bother to call this firm or Ms. Neary at all. I was reprimanded and interrupted from the get go for using a "speaker phone" when I was using a headset to hear better. Her ego would be nearly impossible to work with, if at all. I felt personally interrogated instead of discussing the reason I had originally called about. I don’t think I said three sentences when attempting to answer her questions before she snapped back saying she wasn’t interested. If you want to be treated like an equal human being, do not call. Ever.

Kathleen/Cathleen was extremely condescending and rude from the moment the phone call started. They offer free consultations, but don’t preface with the fact that you’ll be judged, interrupted, and shut down before you even have a chance to finish your explanation. I found it strange that when she asked what I wanted to sue for was, and when I used the correct legal terms she stopped me and said “let’s stop using the legal terms”. What else would you as a lawyer prefer? On top of that, she began with telling me every lawyer would say the same thing to me, asked me more about my testimony, then changed it to “I won’t take your case. But I highly recommend talking to other lawyers”. Which one is it? The farthest thing from personable, reminded me of the employer I actually reached out to her

With so much false advertising on Google, it is hard to find Civil Rights, Constitutional Law or Civil Litigation attorneys. I consider myself experienced in criminal justice, law, psychology and advocacy....however, I've read that Petitions for Writ of Mandamus and Original Actions are complex and you need attorney assistance, even if just limited scope. Seems Powers Law is either seemingly discriminating against me, or like most in Lincoln, they don't do anything in the areas of practice I need. Personal Injury, Malpractice attorneys, business law, real estate, etc but for some reason noone will help you with what you need. ACLU ignores you, Legal Aid declines tons of cases....

I called them to learn more about their marketing values, but I was hoping to also connect with someone on a case that I had. I got a very rude response that they’re not interested in any marketing and just hung up on me. It was just a very backward way of communication. Just lack of professionalism? At least take a phone call. I didn’t even get the opportunity to say why I was really calling. I never leave a review, but this one was just not a great experience. I went ahead and just called a different lawyer and they spoke with me. They are handling my case and I got to learn a little bit about their marketing. If anyone from Powers actually reads this, every one of us in Lincoln are your potential clients. And professionalism is of the upmost importance.

My experience with Powers Law was professional and caring. After my car accident I was overwhelmed and unsure of my legal rights. Vince helped me understand my opinions. His dedication to my case resulted in a settlement that exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Powers Law.
