I was arrested and charged with a Class D felony, amongst other charges, at age 18. I am currently 23, writing this review 5 years later. I wanted to make sure to post my review so that maybe some other kids who are 18 or 19 know to IMMEDIATELY request a change of council if Karen Peters is your Public Defender. Here are the 2 things that happened in my experience with Peters that makes me feel this way. 1. The police never read me my Miranda Rights before questioning me. After telling Peters that I was questioned without being read my rights, her response was “Well, they don’t have to.. unless they question you,” which they did. I tried reiterating this to Peters, but she was uninterested in exploring that option (even though she said out-loud with her own mouth, ‘unless they question yo
