I hired John Parker on December 12 to handle a dispute regarding my home with the deceased homeowner’s wife. At our initial meeting, we discussed the next steps, and I paid an $800 advance. His sole task was to send a letter to the homeowner’s wife to encourage cooperation, knowing that I had obtained legal representation. I understood that the holidays could slow progress, but after multiple emails asking if the letter had been sent, I was told it would be sent December 26. As of February 13, I know the letter was never received, as I have been in direct correspondence with the homeowner’s wife about this issue.
