I did not have a good experience with Offit Kurman (based in Maryland). I was grossly overcharged for a 45-min call with an employment attorney who a) had not prepared nor investigated NY state law, thus was not sighed on my options, and b) charged me for things like reading my email when we were trying to schedule a suitable time to meet. When I challenged them, they agreed that charges were excessive, however they took more than 3 months to return the part of my retainer corresponding to the amount that they overcharged. I also engaged an immigration attorney at the same time at Offit Kurman. And it turns out I was advised to take out a visa that I in fact did not need and ended up costing me quite a bit of money and may now jeopardize my current immigration application. For the reason
